Day 15: Feel It To Release It

Kate Kahl Season 1 Episode 24

Emotions are energy in motion, and when we don’t allow them to flow, they can get stuck in our bodies, leading to stress, discomfort, or even physical symptoms. Today’s episode of the 30-Day Life Reset is all about learning to feel and release your emotions in a healthy, empowering way.

I’ll guide you through a creative and fun technique using balloons to help you process and release pent-up emotions like anger, sadness, or grief. This simple but powerful practice helps you let go of what no longer serves you, leaving you feeling lighter, freer, and more in control of your emotional energy.

💡 Today’s Action Steps:
1️⃣ Acknowledge and feel the emotion in your body—don’t hold back.
2️⃣ Blow up a balloon, channeling that emotion into it.
3️⃣ Destroy the balloon in a way that feels satisfying—pop it, jump on it, or crush it!

Releasing emotions is key to feeling empowered and aligned. Let’s have some fun with this and free up space for joy, peace, and creativity.

Hi, everyone! Welcome to Day 15 of the 30-Day Life Reset!

Today, we’re diving into something we all experience but don’t always know how to handle: emotions.

Emotions are simply energy in motion, but when we don’t allow them to flow, they can get stuck in our bodies. This buildup can lead to stress, tension, and even physical symptoms. It’s like carrying around a heavy weight, and over time, that weight starts to drag us down.

The key to releasing emotions is simple: feel it to free it. When we allow ourselves to fully feel our emotions, we can process and let them go. But let’s face it—most of us have been taught to suppress emotions, especially the uncomfortable ones like anger, sadness, or grief.

Today, I want to share a fun and empowering technique to help you release stuck emotions: the balloon method.

Here’s How It Works:

1️⃣ Acknowledge the Emotion
Start by noticing how you feel. Where is the emotion showing up in your body? Maybe it’s tightness in your chest, tension in your jaw, or heaviness in your stomach. Allow yourself to fully feel the emotion without judgment.

2️⃣ Blow Up a Balloon
Take a balloon and begin blowing it up. As you do, imagine channeling all of that emotion into the balloon. Visualize the anger, sadness, or frustration leaving your body and entering the balloon.

3️⃣ Destroy the Balloon
Once the balloon is filled with your emotion, release it in a way that feels satisfying to you:

  • Pop it with a pin.
  • Jump on it.
  • Crush it with your hands.

Let this act symbolize the release of that energy from your body. It’s a physical, tangible way to let go, and it can feel incredibly liberating.

Why This Works

This technique is a fun, safe, and creative way to process emotions that might otherwise stay stuck. It gives you permission to express what you’re feeling while releasing it in a healthy, constructive way.

Your Challenge Today

Take some time to try the balloon method. Think about any emotions you’ve been holding onto—anger, sadness, grief, or even frustration—and let them flow out and away. Feel the difference it makes in your body and your energy.

Remember, emotions are part of being human. They’re not something to fear or avoid. When we feel them fully, we free ourselves to move forward with lightness and clarity.

I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 16!
