Alignment is when we are physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually in harmony within ourselves. Misalignment will lead to setbacks, blocks, chaos, confusion and heartbreak (and we don’t want that!).
As a holistic kinesiologist, reiki practitioner and mindset coach, I know not only how to identify the misalignments, but how to clear them too. With my down-to-Earth, no-BS approach (thanks to an upbringing in rural Australia), there’s only just enough woo-woo to be effective - no fluff (promise).

How often do you listen to your heart over your head? Society teaches us to chase external goals—money, relationships, achievements—but often, those desires come from our mind, not our heart. Today’s episode is about dropping out of your head and into your heart to uncover what truly aligns with your values and desires.

Today, we’re talking about something really powerful: listening to your heart and aligning with your true desires.
So often, we set goals based on what society expects of us—things like earning more money, finding a partner, or hitting milestones in our careers. While those goals can be valid, they often come from our head, not our heart.
Head vs. Heart Goals
The mind tends to focus on external achievements:
- “If I get that job, I’ll feel successful.”
- “If I find a partner, I’ll feel loved.”
- “If I lose weight, I’ll feel confident.”
But here’s the truth: You don’t need external things to feel the emotions you’re chasing. Joy, freedom, love, confidence—they’re all available to you right now when you drop into your heart.
How to Drop Into Your Heart
Take a moment to pause and ask yourself:
- What does my heart truly want?
- What would make me feel fulfilled, aligned, and at peace over the next 12 months?
The answers might surprise you. They’re often simpler, more profound, and more aligned with your values than the goals your head might set.
Reframing Limiting Beliefs
Sometimes, it’s not the external goals that block us—it’s our own limiting beliefs. Thoughts like:
- “I don’t deserve this.”
- “It’s not possible for me.”
- “I’ll never be good enough.”
These beliefs keep us stuck and disconnected from what we truly want. One powerful way to challenge these beliefs is by using a technique inspired by Byron Katie’s The Work.
Try This Technique (by Byron Katie):
When you catch yourself thinking a limiting belief, ask:
1️⃣ Is it true?
2️⃣ Can I absolutely know it’s true?
3️⃣ Who would I be without this thought / belief?
By questioning your beliefs, you create space to reframe them and align more deeply with your heart’s desires.
